Before becoming a hair colorist, I studied arts at Dawson. After graduating, I decided to dive into hairdressing as I was very intrigued by hair coloring. What intrigued me even more, was the balayage technique. I watched a couple of videos about it and immediately fell in love with it. It really reminded me of my painting classes which I also loved! I graduated from beauty school in 2015 and after working in salons for 3 years, I was ready to work on my own. I have now been a self employed hair colorist for 5 years. I kept practicing, attended workshops, such as Guy Tang’s and continued to better myself. I also offered education services at Spa Minévia. While I still offer hair cutting and styling services, my passion lies with hair coloring so that I can continue to master my signature service: the balayage.

Balayage is the technique of free-hand painting highlights onto the hair, creating a soft and natural gradation of lightness towards the ends. The result is the look of summers spent at the beach, or the fresh, unintentionally perfect highlights on a child.
Foilyage technique is similar to the balayage, but done with foils to incubate the hair which helps the bleach process better. This technique is used to achieve a more dramatic look than the classic balayage.
Highlights are done by foiling some hair and leaving some out in between. Compared to a foilyage, there is a lot more dimension.
